  Accord Dash Trim Kit

You have just received your new stuff. Now the question is  how do you install it so it looks like a profession job. You want ithe trim kit to look like it came with your car.

The following steps will help you get a great installation of your trim kit. Please remember however, if you see is a difference between these instructions and the instruction sheets that came with your trim kit, you should follow your kit's instructions.

  •   The first step is before you remove any of the liners from your trim kit and uncover adhesive, check each piece where it should be installed. Make sure it fits correctly.

  •   Use a soft pencil or other marker to outline your placement, so it will be easier to line up the trim piece when you are ready to install it.

  •  Clean all of the installation surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. It is important to clean  these areas a several times. It is possible they may have been covered with detailing chemicals, which will not allow your trim kit to hold securely.

  •    If your trim kit has an adhesive promoter, brush it on only in the exact areas where each trim piece will be applied. You will find that there are some trim kits without a promoter, and in these cases the original backing is sufficient to hold the piece.

  •    Carefully peel off the backing from one of the trim kit pieces.

  •    Very carefully position the piece. A hint: Use one finger to tack a couple of different places on the trim kit piece, while you make the final adjustments. Once the trim kit piece looks good, use your fingers to press and spread the entire piece into position.

  •    Continue the above steps with all of the remaining trim kit pieces.

  •    When you are done it's a very good idea to go back over each piece and repress on all of them a final time. Pay extra attention to the corners and any pieces of your trim kit which bend .

  •   As a final step use a soft lint free cloth to remove any fingerprints or smudges on the trim kit.

Sit back and admire your new trim kit.
